In Premium Economy, you can’t bring your pet. When pets are allowed in the cabin, one-way domestic trips in Canada and the US (except Hawaii) cost between $50 and $59, and foreign flights cost between $100 and $118.

Each traveller can bring up to two pets, but each one will cost extra. Domestic flights within Canada cost between $105 and $120.75 per pet, while foreign trips cost between $270 and $318.60 per pet. Air Canada may refuse to take animals in the hold if the temperature is too high.

Depending on where you’re going and when you bought your ticket, the amount of luggage you can bring on a flight from Canada to another country changes. On trips abroad, there is always at least one free bag. A second bag will cost up to $100.

  • Bags that weigh 23 to 32 kg (50 to 70 lb) are considered to be too heavy.
  • Oversized bags are those that are 63 to 115 inches (160 to 292 cm) long.
  • 51 to 70 pounds or 24 to 32 kilograms: at least $100 more per bag in Canada and the United States
  • As checked baggage/hold luggage, you won’t be able to bring bags that weigh more than 70 pounds (32 kilograms).

Air Canada (AC) will charge at least $100 CA/US more for bags that are between 160 and 292 centimeters (63 to 115 linear inches) long. Bags that are longer than 115 linear inches or 292 centimeters will not be allowed as checked baggage/hold luggage.
